Japali Hanuman Temple
Japali Hanuman Temple: Japali Hanuman Temple is one of the oldest temples in Tirumala and it is said that when Lord Rama, Devi Sita, and Lakshmana were in aranyavasa, they lived here for a period of time. This is the place where Lord Hanuman gave darshan to Jabali muni and the idol inside the temple was installed by no one, it was a self-proclaimed (Swayambhu), Lord himself appeared on the stone. Many years ago there was a muni(Saint) called Jabali who was the bhakta of Lord Hanuman and he performed enormous prayers and Japa (meditative repetition of a mantra or a divine name). Lord Hanuman was pleased with his worship and gave darshan to him by appearing on a huge rock. That is the idol which is there inside the garbhagudi of the Japali temple.
